CON attends 13th regional student congress

Students from the College of Nursing (CON) and School of Midwifery attended the 13th Regional Student Congress held at Prime Bernard Hall, Saint Louis University-Baguio on March 17, 2018.

With  this year’s theme “Achieving  21st Century Learning Skills of Professional Nurses”, the following served as speakers: Dr. Florence C. Cawaon, keynote speaker of the said event, former dean of Baguio Central University CON and member of the Board of Nursing gave emphasis on the core competencies that professional nurses must possess in achieving the 21st Century Learning Skills; Dr. Mary Grace C. Lacanaria, National ADPCN President gave updates on the difference between the current and the Outcomes Based Education (OBE) curriculum, and the non K-12 and K-12 graduates; and Dr. Erlinda C. Palaganas, PNA-CAR governor discussed the PNA Trust, programs and updates.

The said event was composed of two activities- lectures in the morning and quiz bee in the afternoon which was joined by six contestants namely, Marie Isabel D. Naboye, Anne Lorraine D. Corella, Marcelina G. Aswit, Jasmin C. Patal, Kathleen G. Puckett and Ched P. Taguibos.
