BCU and Irisan Brgy signs MOA

The  Baguio   Central University officials and Barangay officials of Irisan, Baguio City signed a Memorandum of Agreement on November 8, 2018 in the University Conference Room.

The agreement was entered by the two parties, Baguio Central University represented by the NSTP and Community Extension Director, Michelle C. Alumno, Arthur D. Carlos, Punong Barangay.

            Baguio Central University is committed to serve Purok 27, Irisan Baguio City as the adopted community for its University Extension Services and with the help of different College departments shall provide the following activities: College of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (CTELA) to organize and conduct youth related activities and literacy program.

            The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) to conduct safety and security training to barangay tanods, self-defense and seminars on crime prevention and detection.

            The College of Nursing and School of Midwifery (CNSM) to conduct health education, medical and dental missions.

            The College of Business Administration and Public Administration (CBAPA) to conduct seminars on entrepreneurship, introduce livelihood program; basic computer literacy and the basics of parliamentary procedures and resolution making.

            The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) to conduct training on food processing, food service, and promotion of tourism. College of Engineering (COE) to provide services in terms of technical Engineering Plan and ocular inspection on the drainage system and make recommendations to proper authorities.

            Hence, the barangay Irisan vowed to assist and participate in the said activities.

            The witnesses: University President Margarita Cecilda B. Rillera, Vice President for Administration, Perfecto M. Lopez, Vice President for Academics, Elma D. Donaal, Director of NSTP and Community Extension Service Michelle C. Alumno together with the Officials of Irisan, Punong Barangay Arthur D. Carlos, Brgy.

            Kagawad Thomas K. Dumalti and Purok Leader Nicanor Agsiweng all signed the agreement.

            The memorandum of agreement is 5 years, commencing from November 08, 2018 to November 08, 2023, renewable but can be terminated by both parties under any circumstances.
