CNSM conducts 26th Cap, Pin, Candle Light and 23rd Madonna Bust Presentation Ceremonies

The 26th Cap, Pin, Candle Light and 23rd Madonna Bust Presentation Ceremonies of the College of Nursing and Midwifery (CNSM) was held last October 5, 2019 at the University’s Function hall.

            The program was opened by the message of Fr. Robert B. Sison, the officiating minister and followed by the blessings of the cap, pin, lamp and Madonna bust.

            There were 14 nursing and 5 midwifery students together with their parents, nursing students and CNSM faculty members attended the ceremony.

                        Melody C. Domalti, RN, MAN, a former clinical instructor in our university and now a Nurse II of the Benguet State University Buguias Campus, was the guest speaker. In her speech she emphasized the beauty of being a nurse, according to her, “Being a nurse allows you to see the beauty of life in its raw form.”. She also reminded the honorees to fully commit to their duties and responsibilities. “Be deaf to negative thoughts if your aim is to reach your goals.”

            The highlight of the program was the presentation of honorees by Dr. Gina Casi, the dean of the college of nursing and midwifery, and the entrance of Ms. Nightingale by Dr. Mary H. Montemayor.

            Dr. Ailen Rafael and Mrs. Priscella Dela Cruz read the midwife and nurse’s prayer.

            Meanwhile, the nightingale pledge and candle lighting song followed.
