“Dealing with health issues in attaining holistic development” was the theme of the outreach program sponsored by the College of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (CTELA) headed by the CTELA dean Dr. Lourdes M. Trajano and the NSTP director Ms. Michelle Alumno.
The outreach program was held last October 18 at Purok 27, San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City, the adopted barangay of the school.
The program was participated in by the said barangay, students, and faculty members from different colleges, purok leaders, and community members.
Geraldine S. Orasing, a registered guidance counsellor was the guest speaker. She talked about the importance of mental health issues and public health awareness. These will help you to refresh your minds about your responsibilities” she said.
After the seminar, an open forum followed which allowed participants to asked questions to the guest speaker. Meanwhile, some of the faculty members also shared their knowledge to the participants about the topic.
Orasing end her speech by telling that her 3 hour discussion be applied in our daily lives. Thus, this will not just be stocked in the 4 sides of the classroom.
