The Liberal Arts Club headed by their adviser Ms. Lyha L. Fias-Ilon, MAEngl., hosted a poetry writing, slogan and poster making contest in commemoration of the United Nation’s month with the theme, “Empowering Solidarity Through Enriching Indigenous Languages” at the university’s function hall last October 18.
The aim of the activity was to bring out the artistic and poetic talents of the students.
Students from the different colleges including the senior high school department participated in the said activity.
The College of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts together with the senior high department participated the contest.
The winner in the poetry writing competition was Mykee Vhenuce Saydawan, while Junamarie Angway, Crizaflor Mendizabal and Daisylyn Contad, all senior high school students won the slogan making contest.
Meanwhile, Ana Muriel Yadao, Charmaine Guerrero, and Aprilyn Joy Galupo, all education students dominated the poster making contest.
The judges in the competition were composed of Engr. Lorelie Malit, Dr. Michael De Roxas, Ms. Sheryl langwas, and Ms. Arlene Mintas, all CTELA faculty members.
